I did think of writing a passage explaining NCCPG - what it is, what it does, etc, for the benefit of those few (?) orchidists , gardeners, or other visitors who do not recognise the name, but concluded that it has been said better by others, and therefore I copy part of a page from the 2004 NCCPG Directory in lieu of my own words:-
